2017 Fall Décor Trend Guide

The season of colourful leaves and cozy sweaters is almost upon us – and honestly, we can’t wait!

Give your home’s interior an autumn update and get ready to enjoy the season in style. Below you’ll find a few of the biggest home décor trends for Fall 2017 that are sure to make a statement in your home. Incorporate a few into your space or go all-out and give your home a full fall makeover. Then, put your feet up and enjoy that pumpkin spice latte you’ve been waiting for.

One Word: Velvet

There’s just something about velvet that instantly amps up the glam-factor. Velvet is one of the hottest fabrics for fall and there are so many ways to incorporate it into your home. From couches, to an accent chair, to smaller touches like pillows and throws – adding that velvet touch will take your home from summer to fall in the most stylish way.

Autumn’s IT Colours

A nod to the Pantone Colour of the Year is this season’s darker, more romantic green hue. Dark green is such a beautiful tone to bring into your home and it pairs so well with both neutrals and metallics. Place a deep green throw on your sofa and add a few coordinating pillows, or invest in accent furniture that showcases this colour.

Hot on the heels of millennial pink is fall’s updated edit – blush. A little more muted and much dreamier than the bright pinks we’ve seen over summer, incorporating blush into your home will make any space feel warm. Make your home blush with dinnerware, lampshades, curtains, and area rugs in this colour.

 Look Up

Give your home some unexpected character and make a style statement on your ceiling.  Add some texture to this often forgotten space with wallpaper, which is cost effective and offers plenty of options to choose from. If you’re looking for something a little less subtle, try beautiful tin ceiling tiles or wooden beams. Giving your ceiling a little attention will add an extra layer of depth to the room and make your space truly unique.

Give In To The Dark Side

This trend may not be for the faint of heart, but if you’re not afraid of making a dramatic statement (or the dark!) then we have the perfect décor style for you. Matte black accessories and painted black walls can give your home the chicest finish - think: matte black tables and chairs with upholstered coloured cushions. Have a wall that features plenty of windows? Black paint may be its perfect complement. If the idea of painting your walls black makes you nervous, don’t worry! Creating a picture gallery on your wall with matte black frames or adding some chic black pillows to your living room can also do the trick.
