Last month the Association of Fundraising Professionals Edmonton and Area Chapter hosted the 19th Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon at the Shaw Conference Centre.
The wonderful event was held on November 9th and recognized individuals, foundations, corporations and volunteers who work towards making a positive impact within our communities.
The afternoon honored the nominees, celebrating all their great achievements in the last year – and we are so proud to have been included amongst this fantastic group! Nominated by the wonderful team at the Edmonton Humane Society, our team was presented with a 2017 Social Services Award for our EHS fundraising and awareness efforts. Giving back to the organizations that help enhance our city is important to our entire team here at Coventry, and we are unceasingly committed to supporting the EHS help care for neglected, abused and homeless animals.
Lead by our CEO, Henry Rodier, the Coventry Homes team has focused on dedicating our time and effort towards the EHS cause over the last decade. One of the ways we help promote awareness and support the EHS is through our Oilers Pets initiative, where a pet photo is shared monthly on both Coventry’s and the Oilers’ social channels. Every comment, like and share the photo receives translates into a dollar donation towards the EHS. Be sure to follow our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter channels to catch the next feature!
Our largest fundraising initiative for the EHS is our annual Coventry Homes Paws and Claws Gala. On March 10, 2018 we will be celebrating the 10th annual Paws and Claws Gala and we are expecting to hit the incredible mark of $1,000,000 raised! Stay tuned for more details about this amazing event and be sure to save the date in your calendars!
We hope that our efforts will help the EHS provide consistent and honorable advancements in animal welfare by enriching of the programs and services they provide. To learn more about the EHS visit edmontonhumanesociety.com
