November Guide: Things to do in Edmonton

November has definitely come in with a bang! We’ve already had a few doses of the white stuff, and if you’ve stepped inside any shop in the city you’ll be reminded that the holiday’s are just around the corner.

It’s easy to get swept up in the pre-holiday rush, so take a step back and take advantage of some of November’s events before December madness kicks in! Below you’ll find a list of a few highlight events that we’re most looking forward to:

Rocky Mountain Wine + Food Festival

Celebrating its 20th year, Rocky Mountain Wine + Food Festival has grown to become one of Edmonton’s most anticipated culinary and beverage events of the year. Get your tickets for November 10 & 11, and enjoy distinguished wines, spirits and beers at the Shaw Conference tasting hall. Plus, there are a variety of delicious gourmet food samples from some of Edmonton’s best restaurants!

Remembrance Day

Honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There are numerous Remembrance Day services taking place on November 11, including the Remembrance Day Service at City Hall, which will be led by the Commanding Officer of The Royal Edmonton Regiment.

Royal Bison – Holiday 2017 Edition

Immerse yourself in the unique art, crafts, and designs at the Royal Bison festival! Get your Christmas shopping started early and explore an exciting assortment of books, toys, apparel, textiles – and so much more. Catch it from November 24-26, and then again from December 1-3.

All Is Bright Festival

On Saturday, November 25th, bring out the whole family for the All Is Bright Festival on 124 Street. This outdoor event celebrates the winter season with an evening full of illumination, live entertainment, food and fun! The festival runs from 4pm-8pm.

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees opens its doors on November 30th for its 33rd year! This annual event is one of Edmonton’s favourite ways to kick-off holiday season, plus it supports an incredible cause – the University Hospital Foundation. The festival features plenty of activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy; however, the main attractions are the over 200 gorgeous trees and Christmas displays. You’re sure to get into the holiday spirit with all the twinkling lights surrounding you at this event!
