Our warranty team suggests humidity levels be around 25%-30% during the winter months (using a Hygrometer is a great way to monitor these levels). Keep fog and frost from building up on your windows by following these easy and important steps:

•          Don’t close or cover any heat vents near your windows.
•          Keep the base of your blinds raised approximately six inches off the windowsill to help with airflow.
•          Clean or replace your range hood filter once a month.
•          Replace your humidifier filter.
•          Ensure bathroom fans are turned on for a minimum of one hour after a bath or shower

Ensure Your Furnace System Is Running Smoothly

The best way to keep your furnace working at an optimal level is to change the filter every six months, have it serviced annually, and have the heat ducts cleaned every 2-3 years. Doing so will ensure fine dust doesn’t collect on air duct surfaces, vents, coils, and motors. You’ll be keeping your furnace in tip-top shape, and your home’s air quality free from dust and allergens.
