Caulk Windows + Doors
Prevent heat from escaping your home by caulking around your windows and doorframes. Sealing any openings is an easy and inexpensive home maintenance job that can help keep your heating bills in check!
Furnace Check
Schedule an appointment to have your furnace cleaned if it’s been more than two years since your last appointment. Your furnace will work more efficiently if it’s properly maintained – so, be sure you’re changing your filters regularly!
Clean + Prep Yard Equipment
Get your summer yard equipment ready for storage by cleaning them and draining any fuel from gas-operated equipment such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers. Next, organize all of your snow clearing tools so what you’re ready for the snow when it arrives.
Winterize Outdoor Water Systems
Below zero temperatures can freeze any water left in outside pipes and faucets, which can ultimately lead to damage inside your home. Drain the water from any outdoor faucets and close any shut-off valves to ensure you don’t run into any unwanted issues.
Safety Check
This is a great time to give your home a safety check. Test all your smoke and CO monitors, inspect fire extinguishers, and make sure your home’s exists are clear from any obstructions.
